2026 Republican Candidates
Aurora

Steve Sundberg
I ran for City Council in self defense of my livelihood. A majority of far left people gained control of our council, with a lack of appreciation and understanding of business.
Supports: School choice and federal efforts to remove illegal criminals.

Aurora At-Large Member
I serve as an At-Large Member of the Aurora City Council. My priorities are centered around three key pillars:
• Connecting our diverse communities across cultures and backgrounds.
• Protecting public safety to ensure every family feels safe and secure.
• Creating economic opportunity by supporting small businesses and fostering growth.
Together, we are building a better tomorrow for all.

Danielle
I am running for re-election in Aurora because it is my hometown, where I own businesses, and where I am raising my son. We currently hold a SUPER Republican majority, and I intend to keep it that way. I believe in Freedom, Capitalism, and the Constitution.
I support School Choice. I have been a registered Republican since I became old enough to vote. Not only do I support, I welcome all Federal efforts to remove criminal illegals from the city of Aurora. I am the one who blew the whistle on Tren de Aragua.

Nino Pepper
Top priorities:
• Putting Aurora parents first – I will fight to ensure parents have the final say in their child’s education.
• Back-to-basics learning – Hands-on training with increased CTE awareness.
• School safety and discipline – Safe schools are successful schools.
• School choice – Every family deserves the freedom to choose the best education for their child.
Centennial

Mayor - Don Sheehan
I have served on Centennial’s City Council for six years, representing District 4. I am currently running for mayor to replace the term-limited Stephanie Piko, who endorses my candidacy.
My primary focus is the safety of our neighborhoods, schools, and businesses. I will collaborate closely with our first responders, supporting their efforts to attract top talent, maintain high levels of certification and accreditation, and invest in essential resources to ensure our community remains safe.
Local government is best equipped to make decisions regarding our neighborhoods and our city. I will defend our right to make choices that benefit Centennial.

Robyn Carnes
I have a passion for community service and helping others, which led me to run for Centennial City Council in 2021. Working in a non-partisan environment, I sought collaboration with community and colleagues to be responsive to resident needs and hope to continue my legacy of service to Centennial for a second term. As Centennial prepares for both its 25th birthday and a significant election cycle, with 5 of 9 seats opening, I see myself as a trusted leader who’s experienced, predictable, stable and works well with others.

Carrie Penaloza
I am a Colorado native and have lived in Centennial for 20 years. My husband Rich and I raised our 2 daughters here. We have benefited greatly from the community, the schools, our neighborhood, living in a safe place with many amenities and I am committed to giving back by serving on council. I was on Council from 2016-2020 but did not run for re-election at that time because of family needs.
My top priorities are keeping Centennial safe, fiscally sound, and defending our home rule status.

Patty McKernan
I would like to keep Centennial a great place to live. It was founded by people who wanted to protect our way of life, and with all the cultural shifts in Colorado, I hope to maintain the effective and functional city that we enjoy today. There will be a lot of pressures for Centennial to move toward the policies of Denver, but I don’t think that is what our citizens desire. I will always look at the proper role of government when making decisions. I will always look at those who come to the Council with an “ask” with a filter of “is it the proper role of government”. I look at citizens’ taxes as a protected and precious commodity – to be used only in a manner that sustains the good of the community.

Jeffrey Gilliam
Top priorities:
1) Continued economic well-being of our city which includes transparency.
2) Safety and security as a hallmark of our uniqueness.
3) Continued recognition of the great value of Centennial as a Home Rule city in regards to decisions made that affect us locally.

Englewood

Mayor - Rita Russell
I am running for Mayor of Englewood to restore respect for our citizens and business owners. My goal is to bring stability and leadership to City Council.
I am committed to being a servant to the public, to uphold the Constitution of the United States and our City Charter and to represent the needs and rights of the citizens of Englewood.
Top priorities: public safety, over-densification, and infrastructure.

Kim Wright
“Wright for Englewood, Wright for the People”
I love this city and I am running to:
- Protect our neighborhoods from overdevelopment (developer’s dream = resident’s nightmare!)
- Fix inadequate infrastructure (sewer/storm drains, police, road repair, etc.) for current population
- Keep government open and transparent with responsible budgeting (community involvement before money is spent)
- Keep Englewood judges ELECTED so judges are the citizens’ choice, not the council’s
- Protect self government (home rule)

Littleton

Mayor - Patrick Driscoll
As a Littleton City Council member from 2017 to 2024, I fought for transparency, responsible growth, and policies that protect what makes our city unique.
Now, as I run for Mayor, I’m focused on ensuring that Littleton remains a welcoming, thriving community for generations to come.

Curt Samuelson
I would like to see Littleton maintain its small-town charm throughout the many changes it will experience in the coming years. I have lived in Littleton for over 30 years and over this time it has always been a charming, historic and welcoming city.
I want to hold onto those feelings even as we make the necessary changes to housing, roads and infrastructure. I believe we can continue to be a city where young people want to live and where mature citizens can continue to thrive.
Yes on school choice, although city council has little impact on this issue.
Yes, on removing criminal aliens. We need a national immigration policy that addresses the issue of non-residents living here.
